If you love "Stranger Things," here are five more shows we think you'd freak out. The fan-favorite Netflix sci-fi fantasy series became a smash hit after its debut in 2016. And with three Certified Fresh seasons under its belt filled with the eighties, homages, horror themes, complex characters, and tons of mystery. It's not hard to see why. So if you're a "Stranger Things" superfan, these following five shows will have you greeting wider than a Demogorgon.

NO.5 Dark

Dark

Starting with our audience, pick the Netflix series "Dark." This fantasy thriller series is often called the German "Stranger Things" and begins with searching for a missing child. It then opens up a complex show about time travel and human nature, interconnected storylines, and clever twists. With an average 95% audience score across three certified first seasons, there is no debate that "Dark" is one of the most popular shows among its fans. Still, it's equally popular with critics who have called it revelatory, thrilling, and one of the most vital shows on streaming. You can binge all three seasons of "Dark" in approximately 26 hours. Still, you'll likely spend far more time than that retracing all the shows, masterfully crafted twists and turns.

NO.4 The X-Files

The X-Files

Next on our list is a throwback pick, and it's going to the landmark sci-fi series "The X-Files." This iconic series about FBI special agents Mulder and Scully ran for nine seasons from 1993 to 2002. Before coming back for two more seasons in 2016 and 2018. The show explores the X-Files, fringe cases that typically center around the paranormal phenomenon. In addition to the overarching storyline of proving aliens exist, the show explored ideas like mistrust of government, mass conspiracy theories, and how we can rationally explain the unexplainable. It's not surprising that "The X-Files," a dramatic drama that spans three decades, is widely regarded as America's most influential show and a riveting drama. With 218 episodes total, you're looking at nine days of binge time to get through all of the original seasons and revivals. But when you consider that it took Mulder years to discover the truth is out there, it sounds like a fair trade-off.

NO.3 Lovecraft Country

Lovecraft Country

Another show we're checking out is our certified fresh pick "Lovecraft Country." Equal parts thrilling and thought-provoking, this HBO series stars Jurnee Smollett and Jonathan Majors and blends the terrifying monsters from the world of H.P. Lovecraft with the horrors of racism in segregated 1950s America. Within 88% certified Fresh Tomatometer, critics praise "Lovecraft Countries" thrilling take on Lovecraftian Lore, excellent characters, gorgeous set pieces, and a world full of mystery. You can binge all of "Lovecraft Country" in about 10 hours. And once you finish, you'll have all the spells you need to take on Cthulhu yourself.

NO.2 The Innocents

The Innocents

Next up is our under-the-radar pick, and that is going to this supernatural series, "The Innocents". This British Scandinavian mystery show from Netflix follows two teen runaway lovers who find themselves at the center of a personal conflict. After one of them begins to develop the power to shapeshift. Fans of "Stranger Things," "Star Crossed" lovers will find a lot to love here. According to critics who call the show's teen romance a slick but sincere slow burn is as righteous as rewarding. It'll take you just eight hours to binge a series, but pro-tip the story picks up after the first two episodes. So stick with it. It is worth it.

NO.1 The OA

The OA

Last but not least is our editors' pick. This is going to mystery drama fantasy "The OA." This Netflix series stars Brit Marling and follows Prairie, a young girl who returns to her family seven years ago after being missing. She is now "The OA." The show is fluidly able to move between sci-fi and fantasy scenarios and supernatural and spiritual. The play is a puzzle unlike any other, combining both genius and absurdity. Critics agree. Netflix has canceled "The OA" after two seasons. You can watch the entire series for 16 hours, but the best part is that you will never forget the moment you first saw it.
